==Reporter's notes==
Islam is the official religion of Pakistan and a lot of Pakistanis are devout Muslims. Now it is the month of Ramadan, a big event for Muslims. During this period, they are prohibited from eating and drinking including water, from sunrise to sunset. However, they are fasting happily.
Ramadan will end shortly and Eid al-Fitr festival will follow it. We planned to distribute tea and sweats on the festival day in some areas we support, hoping to do any better to make the affected people happy. But we faced a problem - no one could tell when Eid al-Fitr festival would be because the date is decided by movement of the moon. At first, we had expected the date would be on November 5th, the widely expected date, and scheduled the festival on the 5th. However, today the date was announced to be the 4th! …Now, I must go back to Islamabad hastily. No time to sleep!

Cheerfull children waiting for the festival. Let's have fun!!

Distributing the goods on the night before the festival. Dad, don't take the kid's balloon! This is Pakistan way of blowing up balloons.

Lots of people came out even though in the night. Balls and balloons for children. Cricket is very popular among Pakistanis. Children asking for balloons to NICCO staff. Doesn't she look like their mother?

November 3rd, 2005
● Obtained the goods to distribute in Eid al-Fitr festival.
● Delivered the goods from Islamabad to Balakot.
● Packed the goods and distributed them in Balakot.
● Went back from Balakot to Islamabad.

==Reporter's notes==
Today I got into the wholesale district for the first time to buy goods for Eid al-Fitr festival. To my eyes, the array of biscuit and cookie wholesales was very attractive. We obtained cookies, tea, sugar and milk etc. for 100 families, which got really huge when gathered at once. And packing them into bags individually was also a huge job. We did it in the guest house where we stay, involving the Japanese staff, the local staff, the driver and the owner of the guest house. While working, I was moved by the scene of the Japanese staff and the local staff working hard together. I thought to myself, "Oh, it's so wonderful…", but then, Mr.Attik, a local staff and a good speaker of Japanese, found me and said, "Take-san, Hataraite kudasai!(please work!)" The distribution got rather late, but I wish from my heart that everyone will enjoy a happy Eid al-Fitr festival.

==Reporter's notes==
I have been mainly working on logistics and not able to take part in the distribution of goods. But today at last, on the day before leaving Pakistan, I came to inspect the supported areas. Though I had checked the quality of the tents with my eyes, I got really reassured to see the people actually using them. I hope the distribution of tents will continuously progress smoothly and every affected people will receive them as soon as possible.

November 8th, 2005

● Meeting atNICCO Kyoto office with the staff to be dispatched to Pakistan on the next day.

==Reporter's notes==
It was heartbreaking for me to be separated from the staff with whom I had worked together from the first day in Pakistan. Moreover, we had formed a strong bond among us. Feeling like leaving my heart behind, I left Pakistan and went back to Japan.
Pakistan, it is a really nice country….I would earnestly give my thanks to the people in Pakistan and Japan. I wish all the support projects will progress with success and the nation will recover from the damage as soon as possible.
