This is the only one building in Islamabad that was destroyed by the earthquake. A woman sitting in front of  thoroughly destroyed houses. A very narrow road where one 4WD can barely go in. People carrying the goods supplied in town are going up and down.

œ Research to open an account in Pakistan Bank.
œ Field research in Balakot area

œ Site inspection with Mr.Takamatsu and Mr. Ishikawa from Japan Platform (JPF).

œ Attended the logistics meeting of the United Nations.
œ Research to prepare NICCO/JPF logo to be attached on the tents.
œ Made agreement documents with the tent trader.

œ Prepared the necessary documents and completed the process of opening an account.

The water for laundry is obtained near the site. Tents are lining like terraced fields. Destroyed town-there used to be various shops and hotels in the city of Balakot.

I didn't expect it would take such pains to open an account....When we found the letter of introduction from Japanese ambassador was necessary, we visited Mr.Shibuta from Jaoanese embassy without notice in advance. However, he welcomed our request and even came with us to the bank, negotiating with the bank which was already closed at the time. I felt encouraged as being with the local staff negotiating eagerly together with us, and decided again to work hard for the project.
